Joe Russo’s Almost Dead celebrated Halloween at Raleigh’s The Ritz and along with dressing like Bob Weir for the show, the band dipped into some other covers outside of their usual Grateful Dead repertoire.

During the two-set show, the band fittingly offered up a cover of Neil Young’s “Vampire Blues” in the first set out of a “Ruben and Cherise.” During the second set, the band dug into some Radiohead material, delivering takes on “The Bends,” “Killer Cars” and “Myxomatosis,” all interspersed between Grateful Dead songs like “St. Stephen,” “The Wheel,” “Uncle John’s Band,” “Shakedown Street” and others.

As is customary with nearly every Grateful Dead-related Halloween show, the band encored with Warren Zevon’s “Werewolves of London.”

Next up for the band is a November 27 show at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club.
