The Motet presented their special 1977-themed mixtape show at Park West in Chicago on Halloween night. The band mixed in cuts from the year of ’77 including Brothers Johnson’s “Brother Man” as well as a pair of Bob Marley tunes in “Natural Mystic” and “Exodus.” Marvin Gaye’s “Got To Give It Up” closed the set.

For the second set, the group opted for funk tunes like Heatwave’s “Boogie Nights” along with classic rock cuts like Steve Miller’s “Fly Like An Eagle” and Steely Dan’s “Peg.”

The show closed with takes on Billy Joel’s “Movin’ Out” and Con Funk Shun’s “fFUN.”
