At last night’s Dead & Company show, Bob Weir played “Peggy-O” with a special D’Angelico guitar signed by all members of the band. The guitar will be auctioned off to benefit more than a half-dozen charities, with the current bid standing at $11,500.

The guitar will be on display and open for bidding in Buffalo at the First Niagara Center as well as in Columbus, OH, Greensboro, NC, Atlanta and more. The person with the highest bid by the end of the tour, in any city, will win the guitar.

Weir first utilized a D’Angelico on stage during the band’s Fare Thee Well run and that guitar, also signed by the Fare Thee Well band, sold at auction for $526,000, netting $30,000 for 17 different charities. He played a similar guitar on stage at Lockn’ Festival, closing at $65,000.

The auction benefits organizations a part of Participation Row, hosted by HeadCount and featuring charities like the Dead’s own Rex Foundation, Love Hope Strength, MAPS, HAPA, Rock the Earth, Reverb and Mom’s Clean Air Force.
