This evening in Paris, multiple coordinated terrorist attacks were carried out at several locations throughout the city, including a hostage situation at the Bataclan music venue, where Eagles of Death Metal were set to play a show.

As BBC reports, gun shots and explosions were reported around Paris, including around Bataclan and the Stade de France, where President Francois Hollande was taking in the France-Germany soccer game. He has been moved to a safe location. At least 120 are thought to be dead, including at least 80 from inside the Bataclan.

UPDATE:

The members of Eagles of Death Metal were able to escape through a backdoor and are all safe. However, the band posted on their Facebook page that they were still looking for all their crew members, but Brooklyn Vegan points out that French band Red Lemons posted on their own page that all band members safely evacuated the venue:

For our american and english friends, a terrorist attack happened at the Eagles of death metal concert. We are safe. Mikel Ross, Eric McFadden we were with your mates Jesse, Tuesday, the other musicians outside, they’re safe too, they took a cab.
Fuck…

The Whigs drummer Julian Dorio, a touring member of Eagles of Death Metal, was onstage during the attack. Dorio’s wife Emily, told The Washington Post that her husband called to let her know that “everyone on stage was able to get off.”
