RAQ played two shows this weekend at the Colfax in Denver, CO, coinciding with Trey Anastasio Band’s tour closing stint at The Fillmore in the same city. Naturally, the two collaborated as Natalie Cressman and James Casey joined the band on November 13 for a set-closing segment that included “Bootch Magoo” and ZZ Top’s “Cheap Sunglasses.”

Also sitting in on November 13 was keyboardist Eric Luba, who joined in on “Shirley Be a Drooler” earlier on in the evening.

The following night saw Luba return once again along with Big Gigantic’s Jeremy Salken and keyboardist Jimmy Dunstan, who all collaborated with RAQ on a cover of Frank Zappa’s “Dirty Love.” Singer Emily Clark then joined the fold to take vocals on Led Zeppelin’s “What Is And What Should Never Be” as well as Stephen Stills’ “Love the One You’re With.” The group, sans guests, also covered Phil Collins’ “Take Me Home” during the set-closing “Carbohydrates are the Enemy.”
