In a recent Billboard article, Dominique Revert, a co-manager of Paris’ Le Bataclan, promises that the club will reopen despite the recent terrorist attack that, so far, has left 89 dead.

The article focuses on the history of Le Bataclan, recounting the many artists that the venue has hosted over the years, everything from a performance by “Buffalo” Bill Cody to a show from Velvet Underground members Lou Reed, John Cale and Nico that turned into Le Bataclan ’72. Other past performers include Jeff Buckley, Prince, Blur, The Roots, Kendrick Lamar, Oasis, New Order and more.

Le Bataclan recently released a short statement regarding fatal night. Revert, who was not at the venue the night of the attack, is defiant, saying “It will reopen, no question about it. Hearts will be heavy for a few months, a few years. But we will reopen. We will not surrender.”
