While Eagles of Death Metal were supposed to join U2 on the first night of their Paris run, the band squashed rumors of that happening. However, on the second night, the band returned to the stage, joining U2 for their final two songs and marking their first live appearance since terrorists stormed Le Batalcan in Paris, claiming the lives of 89 in the venue and hundreds others around the city.

Consequence of Sound reports that Eagles of Death Metal joined U2 for a cover of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power” and then the members of U2 exited, leaving EODM alone to close out the show with their own “I Love You All the Time,” the same tune they are offering to donate all publishing rights for those who cover the song. “They were robbed of their stage, so we would like to offer them ours,” Bono reportedly told the Paris crowd.

It’s also worth noting that the show was filmed for a future HBO broadcast, slated to air tonight at 9 PM ET.
