Earlier this year on John Lennon’s 75th birthday, founding Beach Boys member Al Jardine visited Strawberry Fields in New York’s Central Park to remember the late Beatle by singing “Imagine” with some 200 people who were gathered around.

Now, on the anniversary of Lennon’s murder, producer and longtime Jardine collaborator Larry Dvoskin has released his video of the event, which will be part of a larger project by the UN and Unicef to make a video of people from all over the world singing portions of “Imagine.”

In the video, Jardine and Dvoskin discuss the event, the UN project and Jardine’s relationship with Lennon, who introduced the Beach Boy to transcendental meditation. Watch the video below.
