New Orleans famed Preservation Hall will celebrate Christmas Eve with three special Creole Christmas performances. The shows—which will are slated for 1, 2:30 and 4pm—will feature Lars Edegran’s St. Peter Street All-Stars and special guest vocalist Topsy Chapman. The eighth annual celebration will boast a selection of New Orleans’ “best-loved holiday selections.”

Preservation Hall is one of a few New Orleans music venues that will be open on Christmas Day. At 6pm, the club will host The Southern Syncopators with Steve Pistorious and, at 8, 9, and 10pm, The PresHall Brass with Daniel “Weenie” Farrow will perform.

The PresHall Brass is Preservation Hall’s resident brass band. Comprised of members of the great Olympia and Young Tuxedo Brass Bands, PHB “tours worldwide spreading the gospel of New Orleans’ unique musical and cultural heritage.” Daniel “Weenie” Farrow, a noted New Orleans musician, serves as the band’s leader.
