Donad Fagen, co-founder and vocalist for iconic classic rock band Steely Dan, was arrested in New York City yesterday on charges of domestic assault. Rolling Stone reports, after speaking with a spokesperson from the New York Police Department, that Fagen was charged with a misdemeanor after he pushed his wife, fellow musician Libby Titus, causing her to fall and bruise her arm.

Fagen has since been released without bail after being arraigned on assault and harassment charges. The New York Post contacted Titus about the incident, which apparently started with a verbal confrontation between the two, and the woman revealed that she will be seeking to distance herself from Fagen. “I don’t feel good,” she told The Post. “I’m very tired and I’m divorcing my husband.”

An order of protection is now in place to keep Fagen away from his wife, whose own musical career has included work with Paul Simon, Robbie Robertson and Carly Simon, among others. The couple have been married since 1993.
