In what is becoming an all too familiar theme, Bruce Springsteen once again paid tribute to a fallen idol as his The River tour rolled through the United Center in Chicago last night.

At the tour opener, it was David Bowie’s “Rebel Rebel” and now, the Eagles’ “Take it Easy” as an homage to the late Glenn Frey. Springsteen covered the Jackson Browne/Frey collaboration solo to start the encore.

Next up for The Boss is a January 24 show in Madison Square Garden in New York City.
