Clearwater, a Hudson River-focused environmental group, has announced that it will not be holding its annual music festival, Great Hudson River Revival, this year due to a ongoing restoration project on their flagship sloop Clearwater.

In a note posted on the festival’s website, Clearwater cite the project’s $5000 a day expense as the main reason for the festival’s cancellation. “The sloop Clearwater is the foundation of our organization, the vessel that brings people to the Hudson River and an inspiration to all who love her,” the note reads. “Our work to protect the Hudson River is still our primary mission.”

Clearwater, which was founded by Pete Seeger almost 50 years ago, says it will be holding “a number of smaller fundraising concerts and events” on the Hudson this year and possible a larger concert in the fall. The festival is expected to return in 2017.
