Umphrey’s McGee played the second evening of their three-night stand at New York’s Beacon Theatre, offering two rocking sets in a show that began and ended with bustouts and offered some warmth to fans facing the oncoming blizzard.

Set one kicked off with “Auf Wiedersehen,” an instrumental tune that hadn’t been played since February 15, 2013, a span of 288 shows. The song has only been played four times overall by UM. The first frame also included an epic run of “1348” > “Ocean Billy” > “Drums” > “Ocean Billy”, “Gents” > “1348.”

The second set featured the show highlight of an extended “Wappy Sprayberry” into a roaring “JaJunk” and ended with a climactic “In The Kitchen” that included a tease of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon.” Watch a video of that performance above.

The band came back onstage for an encore of “Hajimemashite” into a cover of Rush’s “Tom Sawyer,” which hadn’t been played since August 31, 2014, a span of 119 shows.

Umphrey’s final Beacon show tonight is currently still scheduled to take place as planned, despite the ongoing winter storm. The New York Premiere of their Reel to Real retrospective film is also still set for the afternoon.
