Ray LaMontagne is the first artist announcement for this year’s Newport Folk Festival, slated to perform on Friday July 22. The festival confirmed the news via Twitter and plans to release more artists in the coming weeks.

LaMontagne’s latest Ouroboros is due out March 4.

Newport Folk Festival is once again slated to return to Newport, RI on July 22-24. All ticketing information is available here. Only Friday single-day tickets remain.
