Phil Lesh’s Terrapin Crossroads hosted a pair of interesting shows last night as Mardi Gras week kicks into full gear out on the West Coast. In the bar, renowned actor Kiefer Sutherland was there with his band performing a set that included Lesh sitting in for “Knocking on Heaven’s Door.” In the audience, Sammy Hagar, who recently filmed an episode of Rock & Roll Road Trip with Bob Weir and Mickey Hart, looked on.

In the Grate Room, Dan Lebowitz and Friends played a special show that included the likes of Jeff Chimenti, Stu Allen, Jay Lane, ALO bandmate Steve Adams, Lesley Grant, Scott Law and a few choice sit-ins from Lesh.

The band moved through cuts like “Ruben & Cherise,” “China Cat Sunflower” and “Hey Pocky Way” with the help of Lesh on bass. Other highlights throughout their two-set show include the New Orleans standard “Iko Iko” as well as a late second set “Eyes of the World.”
