Ryan Adams’ follow up to his last self-titled effort has been discussed briefly, although the Jacksonville, NC singer-songwriter did say shed some light on what’s to come while promoting his surprise cover album of Taylor Swift’s 1989.

In a pair of tweets, Adams says that he’s finished over 65 songs for the new project, adding at the end, “see you this fall.” Adams already has a few dates on the books, one for Forecastle Festival in Kentucky and a date at Red Rocks with Kurt Vile.

On the new project, Adams told EW in September that the album is “about me.” He continued, ““It’s not about any situation or any person. It totally is just a guy, in this crazy time in my life, where I’m not some teenager, not some twenty-something, running around being crazy. It’s really looking around my world and how changed stuff is. I feel like I was able to stop time for a second and take that one still from a Super 8 view of my life…That felt strangely more powerful and sadder than anything I could write.”
