Last night, Dan Auerbach’s The Arcs played a surprise set at Robert’s Western World in Nashville with guitarist Glenn Schwartz and the Eagles’ Joe Walsh, who both played together in the James Gang in the ’60s.

Along with the above photo, the band posted a caption that said “Inventors part deux is gon be so ill,” possibly hinting at a studio collaboration with the guitarists. The first installment in The Arcs vs. The Inventors series, which pairs the band with some of their heroes, included Dr. John and Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo.

In other Arcs news, keyboardist Marco Benevento recently sat down with Jambase for an interview in which he revealed that he will be joining The Arcs for a run at the end of April. The band’s keyboardist, Daptone Records family member Leon Michels, is expecting a child and will take time off from the road. Arcs member Richard Swift has already had a musical relationship with Benevento, producing his 2014 album Swift. According to Benevento, “Dan and Richard were like, ‘You’re the only guy we want.’ Holy shit, what a nice thing to hear.”
