Mumford & Sons closed out the inaugural Okeechobee Music Festival with a guest-filled set including guitarist Tom Morello, The Avett Brothers and Preservation Hall Jazz Band.

The festivities began towards the end of the band’s main set, which was comprised of old and new Mumford originals, when Morello joined for Springsteen’s “The Ghost of Tom Joad” which he performed routinely while a member of the E Street Band. Mumford & Sons have also played the tune and even recorded a version with Elvis Costello. Morello also stayed on for the “Dust Bowl Dance” closer.

For the five-song encore, four of which were covers, kicked off with The Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun” featuring Morello, The Avett Brothers and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. That same ensemble would remain for the following takes on “You Really Got Me” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” as well as the Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody” before Mumford & Sons

Collaboration was the name of the game at the inaugural Okeechobee Fest as the night before, members of Mumford & Sons joined Win Butler, Miguel, Pres Hall, John Oates, George Porter Jr., Zigaboo Modeliste, Eric Krasno and others for the PoWoW! event.
