Bill Wyman, who played bass with the Rolling Stones from 1962–1993, has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, BBC reports. The musician is reportedly undergoing treatment, and is “expected to make a full recovery as it was caught in the early stage,” a spokesperson for Wyman said.

Wyman played bass with the Stones for the bulk of their career and was featured on some of their iconic songs like “Gimme Shelter,” “Paint It Black” and more. As the BBC reports, Wyman is also credited with writing the guitar riff to “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”

Since leaving the band, Wyman has performed and recorded with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings. He also joined the Stones for their 50th anniversary shows at the O2 Arena reunion in 2012. There are no plans for him to join the band anytime soon, however, as Wyman is quoted as saying “When you’re a Rolling Stone, you do nothing but Stones music. My life is more exciting since I’m not one.”
