Madison House Presents’ proposed 20,000-person music festival in Buena Vista, CO has been approved according to Reverb. The festival is set for August 4-7 on a 274-acre ranch.

After consulting with local residents, the Chaffee County Board of Commissioners also shaved an hour off the planned closing time, asking for festivities to end at 1:30 AM on Friday and Saturday nights with a midnight curfew on Thursday and Sunday.

“Their whole thing was they wanted it to be open late enough so people didn’t bail at the last minute for the bar and totally destroy downtown,” said Jed Selby, who bought the ranch in 2014.

“We aim for this festival to be a mighty source of Colorado pride,” said Madison House president Jeremy Stein in a release. Madison House recently brought Mumford & Sons’ Gentlemen of the Road stopover to Salida, CO featuring acts like Dawes, Jenny Lewis, The Flaming Lips and others.
