In a recent interview, Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes opened up more about his experience during the band’s concert at the Bataclan in Paris during the terrorist attacks last November that killed 89 people at the venue.

Hughes, who had previously shared thoughts on French gun-control laws relating to the attacks, says that he began having a bad feeling when he showed up to the venue and inquired about the security guard assigned to backstage, asking if someone else could be brought in to replace him. The answer he received fueled his suspicions that the security team may have known something about the attacks.

“He said, ‘Well, some of the other guards aren’t here yet,’” Hughes says. “And eventually, I found out that six or so wouldn’t show up at all. Out of respect for the police still investigating, I won’t make a definite statement, but I’ll say that it seems like they had a reason not to show up.”

The rest of the interview will air tonight on the Fox Business Network.
