Umphrey’s McGee kept their West Coast swing rolling last night at The Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, with a show that once again featured some acoustic performances from the band’s guitar duo, including a song the band hadn’t brought out in nearly eight years.

Nearing the end of the opening set, guitarists Brendan Bayliss and Jake Cinninger switched to acoustic for “Susannah” before just the duo played a rendition of Led Zeppelin’s instrumental tune “Bron-Yr-Aur,” which hadn’t been heard on an Umphrey’s stage since spring 2008. Bayliss and Cinninger did, however, play the song at their acoustic duo performance in Chicago this past December.

The band also gave fans a peek into their “backstage pre-show antics” with a video posted to their Facebook page that features Cinninger and drummer Kris Myers doing some metal jamming in the greenroom until Myers pushes over his drum set and throws his sticks. Watch the video below.

Umphrey’s McGee continue their tour tonight at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA.
