Billy Corgan continued the Smashing Pumpkins’ “In Plainsong” tour with a stop at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles. The show saw former Pumpkins guitarist James Iha join the fold with Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin for a series of songs from their 1993 album Siamese Dream.

Among them, “Mayonaise,” “Soma,” “Rocket,” “Today,” “Disarm,” “Spaceboy” and others. Iha then returned in the encore for a cover of the Stones’ “Angie” and the closing number “Amarinthine” after Corgan and the venue serenaded Iha with “Happy Birthday” in honor of his 48th birthday.

The occasion marked the first time in 16 years Iha has shared the stage with Corgan. The guitarist departed the Pumpkins in 2000 after a 12-year stint in the band. Iha never returned to the group as Corgan reshuffled the lineup over the years.
