Next month, a group of musicians including members of Wilco, REM and Yo La Tengo will come together in Los Angeles for a Big Star tribute concert honoring the band’s 1978 album Third/Sister Lovers.

The collective that will be playing the album in its entirety will include Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy and Pat Sansone, Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan, REM’s Mike Mills, Jessica Pratt, Robyn Hitchcock and more, along with Big Star’s own Jody Stephens and an orchestra conducted by Carl Marsh, who served as arranger for the band. Tickets and more information are available here.

As Brooklyn Vegan reports, the concert will be recorded for a future film that will also feature concert footage from past collaborative Third performances, which have taken place a few times since 2010 with varying lineups.
