Yesterday, news came down that Radiohead will reportedly release a new album in June. The comments were sourced from an alleged manager for the band, Brian Message, who said the album will be out this summer and “will be like nothing you’ve ever heard.”

Today, the band has issued a statement clarifying those remarks, saying that Message is in fact NOT Radiohead’s manager, but rather a partner in Courtyard Management and plays no operational role. “Therefore any quotes from last night’s event, or any supposition arising from them, should not be attributed to Radiohead’s management or be seen as official quotes on behalf of the group.”

The statement also notes that the band is managed by Chris Hufford and Bryce Edge at Courtyard Management. Read the full statement below.

At an industry event in London last night Brian Message was asked about new Radiohead music. Brian Message is not Radiohead’s manager – he is a partner in Courtyard Management but plays no operational role, and therefore any quotes from last night’s event, or any supposition arising from them, should not be attributed to Radiohead’s management or be seen as official quotes on behalf of the group.
