Gov’t Mule continued their tour with a stop at the Trustees Theater in Savannah, GA and took some time to honor the late Levon Helm, who died yesterday in 2012. During the second set, Haynes and the band took on “Up on Cripple Creek” as a tribute to the late drummer.

Haynes famously was a part of the Love for Levon concert put on at East Rutherford, NJ’s IZOD Center in October of 2012 along with the likes of My Morning Jacket, Roger Waters, Gregg Allman, John Mayer and others.

Also of note from last night’s show was a debut of Weather Report’s “A Remark You Made Pt. 1” which emerged out of a “The Other One” jam in the middle of the second set.

Gov’t Mule’s tour continues tonight at the Georgia Theatre.
