Bruce Springsteen is the latest to pay tribute to the late Prince as he kicked off his Barclays Center show in Brooklyn with a cover of “Purple Rain” before launching into The River as he has throughout this tour.

The performance served as a live debut for Bruce and the E Street Band as Nils Lofgren took Prince’s iconic solo on the tune. At the end of the song, Springsteen addressed the crowd, simply saying “Prince forever.”

Springsteen’s tour continues tomorrow night at Barclays Center. Watch the full version of “Purple Rain” above.
