On Friday night, Anders Osborne started up “Fess Jazztival” at New Orleans’ Tipitina’s along with Neville Jacobs, who opened the night with a set featuring a nod to the late legend Prince.

Neville Jacobs, which consists of Ivan Neville, Cris Jacobs, Brady Blade and Tony Hall, were joined for their entire set by singer-songwriter Theresa Andersson, who helped them with a cover of Prince’s “I Would Die 4 U.”

For Osborne’s set, the guitarist and songwriter and his band welcomed drummer Joey Peebles, who plays for Trombone Shorty collaborators Orleans Avenue, on a second drum kit.
