Last night at David Gilmour’s performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall, one legendary guitarist nodded to another as the Pink Floyd icon took the opportunity to honor Prince during one of his most beloved songs.

As Gilmour jumped into the guitar solo during “Comfortably Numb,” the stage lights turned to purple as the chord progression changed to that of Prince’s “Purple Rain” as Gilmour roared through a solo in honor of the late icon before the band fell back to finish the Floyd tune.
