The lineup for next year’s 15th anniversary of Jam Cruise has just been announced, and one of the biggest names included in the festival-at-sea is the Benevento-Russo Duo, who will play their first show as a duo since 2010.

Keyboardist Marco Benevento and drummer Joe Russo met as kids in New Jersey and reunited when both had moved to New York years later. Their first appearances as the Duo took place at Madonna tribute held at the famed Wetlands in 2001 and the pared performers started gigging around the city shortly after. (They had a memorable residency at the Knitting Factory early on.) Benevento now plays with Russo’s Almost Dead project. In a recent interview with jambands.com, Benevento says that he and Russo have been trying to reunited the Duo but never found the time.
