Levitation has announced it will not hold its annual festival in Austin this year due to dangerous weather forecasts combined with ongoing issues with flooding already in the area.

“This decision is heartbreaking, but it’s a decision officials have made for the safety of festival attendees, and safety is our first priority,” festival organizers wrote in a statement posted on Levitation’s website.

Levitation was set to take place this weekend with acts like Animal Collective, Ween, Brian Wilson, The Arcs, Courtney Barnett and more.

The note goes on to apologize to festival goers who had already traveled to the area and also mentions that although Levitation faced weather concerns last year as well, this year’s danger is much greater. Read the full note and see refund information here.
