Umphrey’s McGee opened up their three-night run at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, last night and included a nod to a local and national legend in the process.

The band wasted no time in honoring Minneapolis native Prince, kicking off their first set with their first ever cover of “Controversy,” the title track from his 1981 album. Watch a video of the performance above.
