A Minnesota doctor who had seen Prince twice in the weeks before his death on April 21, including the day before his body was found, has been included in a search warrant, Minneapolis’ Star Tribune reports (via Consequence of Sound) after obtaining documents involved in the investigation.

Dr. Michael Todd Schulenberg is a family practitioner in the Twin Cities and told officials that he had met with Prince on April 7 and April 20 and was set to meet the musician again at his Paisley Park home on the morning of April 21 to deliver test results of an undisclosed nature. Schulenberg also said that he had given Prince a prescription in the weeks leading up to his passing. The documents obtained by the Star Tribune note that the doctor does not work for his previous employer, North Memorial’s Minnetonka clinic, but it is unknown the reason for his departure.

The Star Tribune also cites sources that say the doctor was treating Prince for opioid addiction. As previously reported, the musician had an appointment to meet with a drug addiction doctor on April 22, and the painkiller Percocet was reported found in his system during the autopsy.
