Iconic rock/metal group Rage Against the Machine, who haven’t been seen together onstage since 2011, have launched a new website, ProphetsOfRage.com, which contains a clock counting down, presumably to some event or announcement.
The website, which is counting down to June 1, features a statement that reads “Clear the way for the Prophets of Rage. The Party’s Over. Summer 2016” with the hashtag #TakeThePowerBack, the title of an early track from the group. As Pitchfork notes, the “Prophets of Rage” statement comes from a Public Enemy song, and Chuck D added to the connection with a couple of Tweets containing clips from a past RATM performance. There have also been tweets about posters similar to the website being put up around Los Angeles.
