This Friday, May 27, Dave Matthews Band will play a show at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC, and the band has announced that proceeds from the concert will go to support organizations defending equality in the state, which recently passed a controversial “bathroom law” that prohibits transgender individuals from using the restroom of their choosing.

The donations, which will be filtered through the band’s Bama Works Fund, will go to benefit five charitable organizations: American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Lambda Legal, ACLU of North Carolina, Equality NC, and Time Out Youth.

Dave Matthews Band also noted through a press release that the donations were set up with help from NC Needs You, an organization that encourages artists to honor their tour dates in North Carolina despite the passing of the controversial bill.
