In 2011, after 11 years of extensive touring in North America and headlining past festival like FloydFest and High Sierra, Garaj Mahal disbanded. Now, as they approach their five year absence from the scene, the jazz-fusion, jam-funk machine Garaj Mahal are about to please their fan base one more time.

The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Jazz Orchestra dives deep into the band’s work to reinvent and reimagine the towering, innovative sounds that would seem nearly impossible to be coming from only a four piece. Longtime fan and CCM musical director, Scott Belck, pays homage while also inviting the guitar virtuoso of the band, Fareed Haque, to stretch the complexity of the music further than anyone could have ever imagined.

Haque seems into the idea of playing his old tunes, saying, “The CCM Jazz Orchestra arranged and played this music with me and we had a blast performing it and recording it. By the way, this record is meant to be played loud. Crank it up and enjoy!”
