Phil Lesh & Friends paid tribute to the 1987 version of the Grateful Dead, as his own personal celebration of the Dead’s 50th anniversary rolls on.

Held at Terrapin Crossroads, Lesh was joined by Stu Allen, Grahame Lesh, Scott Guberman, Ezra Lipp and Alex Koford for a set drawn from the Dead’s September 18, 1987 show at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The set is appropriate as it nodded to Bob Dylan, who celebrated his 75th birthday yesterday, several times throughout the set with takes on “All Along the Watchtower” and a finale of “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.”
