Last night at the Barby Club in Tel Aviv, Israel, Real Estate played their first show after announcing the departure of guitarist Matt Mondanile earlier in the day.

The performance featured four new tunes from the band, “Harpsichord,” “Darling,” “Dec. 7” and “Saturday,” while they avoided Mondanile’s songwriting contributions to their catalog. As announced, Julian Lynch, a childhood friend of the band, filled in on guitar. The founding members of Real Estate went on their first tour as Lynch’s backing band in college, and Lynch also played on frontman Martin Courtney’s recent solo debut, Many Moons.
