The Strokes returned to the stage last night at the Capitol Theatre as they prepare to headline Governors Ball on Friday night.

The show saw the live debuts of tracks from their recently released Future Present Past EP as “Threat of Joy,” “Oblivius” and “Drag Queen” all appeared in sets for the first time.

Also of note were a host of tunes not previously performed on their last festival circuit tour as “Soma” and “Evening Sun” made their first appearances since 2010, “Alone, Together,” “Ask Me Anything” and “Trying Your Luck” were played for the first time since 2011 and the biggest bustout of the night came in the form of “Electricityscape,” not played since 2006.

The Strokes return to the stage Friday night in New York City at Governors Ball.
