Starbucks has announced that it will be holding a Grateful Dead Day around the country, as many of their locations will be playing the music of the band all day long.

At over 7,500 Starbucks around the U.S., the music today will consist of only Grateful Dead songs and covers of the band. The day is inspired by the recent Dead compilation album curated by The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner and will feature songs from that album.

“The Grateful Dead are one of those rare artists who transcend time, generations and genres,” says Starbucks Entertainment vice president Gina Woods. “We’ve been fans of the Grateful Dead for years and couldn’t miss this chance to reintroduce our customers to their music through this specially curated playlist.”
