The third annual Louis Armstrong’s Wonderful World Festival will take place at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, NY, with music from Dr. John, Soulive and Kermit Ruffins, who will celebrate the life and legacy of the legendary jazz musician this July. Armstrong lived in the NYC borough from 1943 until his death in 1971.

New Orleans icon Dr. John, who shares that distinction with Armstrong himself, will headline the festival, which will also feature “local acts with international flair,” in addition to Soulive and Ruffins.

The Wonderful World Festival is free to the public and will take place on July 16 from 1pm to 8pm. More information is available here.
