Dead & Company continued their tour last night at Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati, OH, with a two-set performance that featured a tune normally fronted by the one surviving “core four” Grateful Dead member that opted to not tour with this incarnation of the band, Phil Lesh.

After a first set that featured Dead staples like “Brown Eyed Woman,” “Sugaree,” “Jack Straw” and a set closer of “Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodleoo,” the band came out for the second frame with John Mayer leading the way on “Box of Rain.” Watch a video of that performance above.

The second set also featured “Viola Lee Blues,” “Uncle John’s Band” and the classic run of “China Cat Sunflower” into “I Know You Rider” before the Rhythm Devils took over for a “Drums” > “Space” that lead back into a “Viola Lee” reprise, “Stella Blue” and “Sugar Magnolia.” The band returned to the stage for an encore performance of “U.S. Blues.”

Dead & Co will play the Klipsch Music Center in Noblesville, IN, tonight.
