Dave Matthews Band returned to their home state of Virginia last night for a show at Jiffy Lube Live and welcomed out a pair of familiar guests as crew member Joe Lawlor joined the group and Charlottesville musician John D’Earth sat in on trumpet for several tunes.

To start, D’Earth joined the band on an early take on “Seek Up” while Lawlor then followed, adding guitar to “Corn Bread.” D’Earth then returned to help close the set, adding trumpet alongside Rashawn Ross and Jeff Coffin to the closing pairing of “Jimi Thing” and a foray into Prince’s “Sexy MF.”

DMB’s tour continues June 21 at Jones Beach in New York.
