HBO’s Vinyl will not return for a second season after initially being renewed during its first season, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“After careful consideration, we have decided not to proceed with a second season of Vinyl,” HBO said in a statement. The news follows the exit of showrunner Terence Winter.

Vinyl starred Bobby Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano and others in the show based around a record company in the 1970s. While the ratings never took off for the Martin Scorsese/Mick Jagger production, the show was quickly renewed for a second season.
