HeadCount will be following Dead & Company on tour this summer, setting up their nonprofit Participation Row social action villages at venues and offering up items for auction, including unique, hand-painted D’Angelico guitars that commemorate some of the historic venues the band is visiting.

Four of the guitars, all of which are also signed by each member of the band, celebrate New York’s Citi Field, Boulder, CO’s Folsom Field, Wisconsin’s Alpine Valley and Boston’s Fenway Park. Each themed guitar will be displayed and auctioned off at the venue it represents. One “Dancing Bears” model guitar will also be auctioned throughout the tour, and another, “Lightning Bolt” guitar will be raffled off for those who participate in the various actions in Participation Row.

The guitar auctions come in a line of similar endeavors, as last year, HeadCount auctioned off a D’Angelico guitar at the Grateful Dead’s Fare Thee Well in Chicago for $526,000.
