Indianapolis Colts owner and avid guitar collector Jim Irsay purchased Prince’s Yellow Cloud guitar that the late musical icon used in concert from the late-80s until the mid-90s. The Associated Press reports that Irsay paid $137,500 for the guitar at an auction in Beverly Hills over the weekend.

Irsay has collected numerous music memorabilia over the years including a Ringo Starr drum set he paid almost $2 million for as well as guitars from the rest of the Beatles, Jerry Garcia’s Tiger, Les Paul’s 1954 prototype and Bob Dylan, among others.

Prince’s “Yellow Cloud” was custom made in 1989 by the Minneapolis, MN firm of Knut-Koupee Enterprises and has also been on display at the National Museum of American History. Prince died on April 21 of an accidental overdose at his Paisley Park Estate.
