Dead & Company returned to the stage last night at Folsom Field in Boulder, CO, marking their first show since the passing of RatDog bassist Rob Wasserman.

In the first set, Weir stepped to the mic to dedicate the RatDog staple “Even So” to the late bassist before leading the ensemble through an emotional rendition of the tune. Wasserman founded RatDog with Weir and passed away on June 29 shortly following an announcement from the guitarist that Wasserman had been hospitalized facing a “serious struggle.”

Dead & Company return to Folsom Field tonight. The show will be webcast via LiveDead.
