The String Cheese Incident had a busy holiday weekend, playing four straight nights that featured two two-night stands in Asheville, NC, and Atlanta, GA. For the first night at Atlanta’s Chastain Park Amphitheatre, the band got some help in the encore by a banjo virtuoso before bringing a Vulfpeck cover and the debut of an American classic during night two.

After opening up the Atlanta run with two-set performance that featured some String Cheese staples and a cover of the Rolling Stones’ “Sympathy for the Devil,” the band brought out Tony Furtado during the encore for a bluegrassy run of “Restless Wind.” The sound went out near the end of the tune but came back just in time for the big finish. Watch a video of that song above.

For night number two, the band continued the party with guest vocalist Rhonda Thomas. The night featured a first-set run of Stevie Wonder’s “Signed Sealed Delivered, I’m Yours,” and a second-set cover of Vulfpeck’s “Funky Duck” before closing out the Atlanta run with an encore that saw the SCI debut of “America the Beautiful.” Listen to the full show here.
