Umphrey’s McGee welcomed former American Idol winner Taylor Hicks to the stage last night in Birmingham, AL at the Avondale Brewing Co for a cover of Marshall Tucker Band’s “Can’t You See” to close out the first set.

Hicks, who added harmonica and shared vocals with Jake Cinninger, previously joined the group on the very same song in 2015 at Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, TX. Coincidentally enough, that marked the last time Umphrey’s has covered the song which they have performed 13 times since 2009.

Umphrey’s McGee’s tour continues July 8 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
