Widespread Panic kicked off a three-night stand at The Join at Las Vegas’ Hard Rock Hotel last night with a show that featured plenty of help from members of the Dirty Dozen Brass Band.

The sit ins began at the end of the first set, when Panic brought out DDBB baritone saxophonist Roger Lewis for “Pickin’ Up the Pieces” and the Robert Johnson standard “Stop Breakin’ Down Blues.” Watch a clip from the latter song below.

The band kept the guests coming in the second set, as Lewis and bandmates Gregory Davis, Kevin Harris, Efrem Towns and Julius McKee came onstage for Panic’s debut of Professor Longhair’s “Go to the Mardi Gras” followed by “Red Hot Mama.” The horn players would later return for “Splinters” and Bill Withers’ “Use Me.”

Widespread Panic return to the Vegas stage tonight and tomorrow.
